Prawn. Ditch the spicy/chilli/garlic prawns for a while and indulge
your tastebuds into a world of soft buttery bliss.
Ingredients:
- Prawns(Cleaned,peeled and deveined): 500 gms
- Onion Thin Sliced : 2 (medium size)
- Garlic Minced : 5-6 cloves
- Garlic paste : 1 tbsp
- Dried red chillies : 1 or 2
- Fresh cream : 1/2 cup
- Lemon squeezed : 1
- Rice Vinegar : 2 tbsp
- Oil 2 tbp
- Butter : 1 tbsp for garnishing
- Salt
- Pepper
- Sugar : 1/2 teaspoon
Procedure:
- In order to get rid of the raw smell of prawns ( which some people won't like), boil them along with a pinch of salt, until they turn a little reddish.
- Strain out the water and marinate the prawns with a teaspoon of salt and vinegar and leave it for about half an hour.
- Add oil in a kadai ( wok) and add red chilli , sliced onions and minced garlic.
- Cook until the onions turn golden brown, add sugar.
- Add garlic paste, pepper,salt and squeezed lemon juice.
- Add fresh cream and stir.
- Add prawns and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Garnish with butter and serve hot.
Served with steamed rice/butter naan or paratha.
